Purchased this item after using it in a hotel in Munich, Germany. I thought it was a little too high in price at first and then found the same type of item at Ikea for $31.00 less and realized it was way overpriced. As we found out, it was good for granulated white sugar, but not good for the raw sugar we use. We returned the Amazon purchase and kept the Ikea purchase.

With a heavy glass bottom and a handsome satin-finish 18/10 stainless-steel top, this dispenser the feel of quality, as well as a sleek spout for pouring sugar at the table. The dispenser holds nearly 1 cup, stands 6 inches high, has a plastic gasket beneath the top for a tight seal, and (except for the gasket) is dishwasher-safe.
